Spinning Spectacular Semis!
As yarn designers, we have the ability to spin an infinite rainbow of yarn styles from woolen to worsted and everything in between in the land of semi-something. Most of the yarns that handspinners create are semi-yarns. This half-day workshop will focus on the considerations and techniques we make to spin these spectacular semi-something yarns. Suitable for beginning spinners and beyond.
Bring the following: Spinning wheel in working condition, hand carders, flick carder, 2 or 3 bobbins, basket/bag of spinning support stuff, apron or cloth for lap.
Beth Showalter completed the Ontario Handweavers and Spinners Spinning Certificate Program in 2014 with distinction and is now an instructor in the program. She is a spinner who enjoys experimenting, sharing ideas, learning new techniques, and following spinning tan gents.
